Lately, Telangana Police have been actively conducting drug raids and busting various drug rackets across the state. In the recent past, quite a few film and television personalities have also been caught in drug racket cases.
In the latest incident, police officials arrested choreographer Kanha Mohanty and a few others while partying with drugs at an Oyo hotel in Madhapur.

In a joint operation conducted by SOT-Cyberabad and Gachibowli Police, Kanha and three others were arrested at the Oyo Hotel. The police seized 18 grams of MDMA, one gram of OG Kush, 7 grams of Indian Charas and six mobile phones from the accused individuals.
The other individuals have been identified as Visakahapatnam-based stock market broker Gangadhar, Hyderabad-based architect Priyanka Reddy and Hyderabad-based justice Ogirala Shaki.

According to reports, Kanha and Gangadhar bought the drugs for low cost in Bengaluru and were selling them in Hyderabad. During the operation, Priyanka and Shaki were caught buying the drugs from Kanha and Gangadhar.
Kanha Mohanty, Priyanka, and two others were taken into custody. The police have registered a case under sections 8(C), 22(C), 27, and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (Amendment) Act. The investigation is currently underway. More details are expected to be announced soon.
