The murder case of dalit driver Veedhi Subramaniam by MLC Anant Surya Udaybhaskar or Ananta Babu, has moved once again. Following the brutal murder, the body was door delivered to his family.
Though YSRCP MLC Ananta Babu confessed to the murder, he is out on bail for the past 2 years. Subramaniam’s family is pursuing the case.
Now, Rajamahendravaram SC, ST Court has allowed for the next hearing of the case. It also asked that a supplementary chargesheet be filed within 90 days.
In the past, Subramaniam’s family had complained to the alliance government that others were involved in the case and that action needs to be taken.
Accordingly, the alliance government constituted a SIT and appointed senior lawyer Muppalla Subbarao to help with the case.
Subramaniam was murdered on May 19, 2022. Footage from CCTVs, Google Take Out, call data, tower location have to be analyzed to find out the number of people involved.
On Subramaniam’s body, there were 31 knife marks and three major wounds inside. Muppala feels that all these point to the fact that others were involved.
He requested SIT to investigate the matter from all angles and reveal those involved.
