AP PCC is of the opinion that Congress party should not have contested in Nandhyal by-election where it lost the deposit. The party is of the opinion that the Bifurcation anger in the people is still intact and something should be done to ease it.

Some leaders have suggested Sonia Gandhi or Rahul Gandhi attending a Public meeting in Andhra Pradesh and openly tendering an apology to the people for the bifurcation. Sources say that Digvijay Singh stormed at those leaders for asking apology from the Gandhis.
The State leaders have asked for the financial support from the high command since funds and donations have totally dried up for the party after the 2014 elections. The big task for the party is to field candidates in all the assembly segments in the next elections.
