TPCC media cell chairman Sama Rammohan Reddy made a sensational statement regarding cracks in BRS party. Just a day after Telangana BJP said that Congress and BRS would merge, the Congress leader said that Kalvakuntla Kavitha is going to launch a new party.

Speaking at Gandhi Bhavan, he spoke about KCR’s family and the cracks in it. Sama said that Kavitha was feeling isolated in the party and she was feeling bad continuing in the party. He added that the Congress would welcome Kavitha’s party.

He went on to say that Kavitha had written a letter regarding her thoughts to KCR. The letter came out even before she went on her US trip, he said. The Congress will welcome Kavitha’s party only if she does not behave like her dictatorial father, said Sama.

Sama said Kavitha wants to talk against BJP who put her in jail. But she doesn’t have the freedom to do so in BRS. She is unable to digest the friendship between BRS and the BJP, Sama said. He questioned if BRS had the guts to speak against the BJP. Sama said the plight of many in BRS would be similar to that of Kavitha, he said.

Also, Kavitha had been expressing her views on the 10-year rule of her father KCR, though indirectly. She has been talking about social Telangana and equality in politics for women, which she said didn’t happen in 10 years. She also said that rythu bandhu went to rich landlords. Sama said they welcomed the stand of Kavitha about inequality shown to BCs and not giving women equal treatment in politics during KCR’s rule.

After being released from jail, Kavitha made a promise that no one will be spared for ill treating her. But her own party was stopping her from speaking against BJP. Though she is touring districts, her own party leaders are not bothered, said Sama.

Then there was the issue of property, Sama said. Thousands of crores were given to KTR and his children and Kavitha was left out. This led to anxiety in Kavitha, Sama went on to say. Kavitha has realised that patriarchy runs in her family, he said. During, silver jubilee celebrations of BRS, KTR’s picture was put up on stage, hinting that he is the future successor of KCR, pointed out Sama.
