BJP is already politically troubling TDP in Andhra Pradesh by not adhering to the promises made to the state during the bifurcation, the saffron party is not troubling but killing TDP in Telangana by its immature moves. TDP insisted that it should get to field a candidate in Warangal by-election as BJP has no cadre there.

But the saffron party did not accept and got the seat. But the party had no candidate there. After much struggle, they have zeroed in on an NRI, Pagadipati Devaiah as their candidate. Devaiah is not at least in the country and his only qualification is his ability to spend money on his own for the election.
This move at the time when TRS and Congress fielded local candidates, may prove costly as non local issue will work against TDP-BJP candidate now. Even several BJP leaders openly admit that the election is gone for the party. BJP is not only harming itself but also killing TDP in the new state with this politically immature move.
