
Ramoji Rao (88), the chairman of Eenadu Group passed away today. On the 5th of this month he was admitted to a hospital in Hyderabad due to difficulty in breathing.
He breathed his last at 4.50 am on Saturday while undergoing treatment there. His body will be shifted to his residence in Film City where the final rites will take place.

On August 10, 1974, ‘Eenadu’ was launched on the shores of Visakhapatnam. Within four years of its launch, it has become a favorite of readers.
Ramoji Rao made letters as his weapon and fought for the people till his last breath. He made the Governments and he broke the Governments just with his writing.

Ramoji Rao was Pro-Poor all his life. He was an anti-Congress man all his life. He played a very crucial role in bringing NT Ramarao to power who marked the first anti-Congress wave in the state. Later he opposed NTR in the Lakshmi Parvathi issue.
He fought the anti-people policies of the late YSR despite the latter is known for his severe Vendetta Politics.

He also won the last battle of his life by playing an instrumental role in ending the tyrannical rule of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
While Print Media across the globe suffered very badly due to change in the readers habits because of digitalization, Eenadu stood through thick and thin and stayed a Market leader every single day since then.
Eenadu will be completing the 50 years of its existence in August this year.
It was supposed to be a massive celebration of a man’s integrity and perseverance coinciding the occasion.
But unfortunately it will be celebrated with the Legend himself.
