Following the directive of the High Court, Election Commission of India issued instructions barring Volunteers from influencing the Voters in favour of the Ruling Party.
They were instructed to stay away from the Distribution of Pensions and all other welfare schemes until after the elections. They were also directed to submit all their handheld devices to the DEOs. These devices will have all the information pertaining to the beneficiaries.
The EC directed the State Government to make alternative arrangements for the pensions and other disbursements.
Volunteers are appointed by Jagan Mohan Reddy to influence the voters and they are already into the task. We have seen multiple instances of Volunteers doing campaign for YSR Congress candidates.
It is clear that elections can not be free and fair until the volunteers are completely barred from participation in the elections.
