It is well known that the government of Andhra Pradesh has been facing a whole lot of flak for the plan to shift the capital from Amaravati. In one such incident, Roja has been met with an embarrassing situation while on her trip to Tirumala.
Earlier today, Roja went to Tirumala to get Balaji Darshan. After completing the darshan, she was seen walking out of the temple premises when she was met by TTD seva workers.
The TTD workers then started raising “Jai Amaravati Jai Amaravati” slogans right in front of Roja. They pushed the demand to continue Amaravati as the capital of AP. It wasn’t like one or two of the Amaravati workers were raising the slogans but a collective commotion from several workers who were there.
Roja didn’t have much of a reaction to the incident as she kept smiling while the crowd raised the pro-Amaravati slogans. She didn’t speak with any of these workers. But it sure was an embarrassing situation for Roja to witness something like this at Tirumala.
Meanwhile, there are reports from media outlets that Roja might not be retaining the Nagari MLA ticket this time around. But she is confidently saying that she will contest from the same constituency again.
