YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has appointed 24 members to the TTD Board. Six out of the 24 are from the Reddy community. Two names in particular have become very controversial.
One is Penaka Sarath Chandra Reddy who was an accused in Delhi Liquor Scam and later turned approver. He happens to be the brother of Vijayasai Reddy’s son-in-law, Rohit Reddy. Sarath Chandra Reddy is on bail right now.
The other one is Dr Ketan Desai, former MCI president is accused of financial fraud.
Sarath Chandra Reddy’s appointment in particular has created a huge uproar in the people for obvious reasons.
But the entire YSR Congress ecosystem is firmly after Sarath Chandra Reddy saying that he is not convicted yet in the case.
People object to this saying that this is nothing but playing politics with the sanctity of the Temple.
A few people are mocking the Chief Minister. “The CM himself is sitting on numerous cases and is ruling the state while he is on temporary bail. Maybe the cases on Sarath Chandra Reddy look very small for him. No Wonder! All sorts of things are happening in Tirumala after 2019 and we should think this is one more and move on,” they say.
