Former minister and Penamaluru YSR Congress MLA Kolusu Parthasarathy seems certain to join TDP. Parthasarathy met the TDP leaders at his office in Vijayawada on Tuesday night.
Visakha East MLA Velagapudi Ramakrishna and Mylavaram TDP leader Bommasani Subbarao came and discussed with Sarathy. He was invited to the Telugu Desam Party and he seems to have responded positively.
On the 18th of this month, TDP chief Chandrababu Chandrababu’s public meeting ‘Ra… Kadali Ra’ will be held in Gudivada of Krishna district. He will be joining TDP then.
Parthasarathy is a loyalist of the YS Family. He was first elected as MLA in 2004 and YSR took him into cabinet even though he is a first-timer.
He later worked as a Minister in Kiran Kumar Reddy’s cabinet too after YS’s demise. He joined YSR Congress but Jagan sent him to Machilipatnam where he lost for the first time. He won from Penamaluru over TDP’s Bode Prasad in 2019.
Parthasarathy is a good orator and Jagan often used him in the line of attack against Chandrababu Naidu.
Even a loyalist like Parthasarathy joining TDP gives a very wrong signal about the condition of the YSR Congress with elections just around the corner.
