First in India, Public to rate AP Ministers!

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is all set to deploy cutting-edge technology and corporate-style methods to rate the performance of his ministers thereby bringing in improved governance to the public. In a first of its kind survey in the country, people will get to rate the ministers and the results will be evaluated by a committee headed by a respected retired bureaucrat with expertise in good governance.

The bureaucrat will be assisted by management experts and top party leaders. Naidu wants to complete the exercise and evaluate the results by June end or early July before going for a cabinet reshuffle. One Lakh people across the 175 constituencies of the state will be surveyed to rate the performance of 20 ministers in Naidu’s cabinet.

It is said that Naidu already reprimanded some of the ministers for non-performance. Naidu leading the state for the third time has the tract record of employing the latest technology to help decision-making and to monitor the progress of government projects while also building Hyderabad as one of India’s software hubs.
