Foreign Direct Investments (FDIs) worth 4,37,188 Crore have come to India in the financial year 2021-22.
Karnataka has taken the lion’s share of 37.46% of that FDIs i.e., 1,63,798 Crores.
Maharashtra comes second with 26.78% of that with 1,17,099 Crores.
Andhra Pradesh which always used to be at the Top-5 during Chandrababu Naidu’s regime is not even on the Top-10 list of the states now.
The state has got a paltry 1,681 Crore FDIs in 2021-22.
That is not 1% of the total FDIs that come to India. That is only 0.38% of the total FDIs India has got.
From 2019 October, Andhra Pradesh has got 3,796 Crores worth FDIs which indicates the poor performance of Andhra Pradesh under Jagan Mohan Reddy’s government.
The Neighboring Telangana state has got 11,965 Crores worth FDIs in 2021-22.
That means Andhra Pradesh has got just around 15% of what the Telangana government has got.
