The study was published in the journal Psychological Science. The study also revealed that frequent sex have several benefits like improving chances of conception and helping bond partners together in relationships that facilitate child-rearing. The study was conducted with 216 newlyweds.
Interestingly, the couple claimed that there is no association between frequency of sex and self-reported relationship satisfaction but basing on the automatic behavioural responses of the participants, the researchers found that the more often couples had sex, the more strongly they associated their partners with positive attributes.
