Govt to introduce T-dialect in books!

The Telugu text books of the school students in Telangana is all set for a complete revamp as the state government is keen to introduce the native dialect in its lessons. The new syllabus is expected to come in to effect from 2015-2016. As the new state was achieved with a target to ressurect Telangana culture and dialect, the government is keen to implement the new text books with the Telangana dialect.

However there are inhibitions that the language will lose its sheen due to the conflict of dialects but Telangana experts defend the government’s move saying that there is no need to use Sanskritized Telugu anymore. They say that even if it is a bit odd to read the dialect in textbooks, but they would get used to it very soon as Telangana dialect is easy. The government has recently constituted a committee to suggest the changes in the syllabus but they say they did not receive any communication from the government regarding implementing Telangana dialect in text books.
