The High Court of Telangana delivered a big jolt to popular astrologer Venu Swamy in the Naga Chaitanya-Shobita controversy. It directed the Women’s Commission to take action against Venu Swamy.
Venu Swamy is known for making controversial predictions about film celebrities and political personalities. He tries to steal the limelight by delivering debatable predictions.

Recently, when actors Naga Chaitanya and Shobita Dhulipalla were engaged, Venu Swamy stated that their marriage wouldn’t last long and they would also separate in a few years.
He received a huge backlash for making such predictions about a newly-engaged couple. A complaint was filed against him by the Telugu Film Journalists Association.

Upon receiving the complaint, the Women’s Commission ordered Venu Swamy to attend the questioning. However, he got a stay from the court saying that the Women’s Commission didn’t have the authority to question him.
Meanwhile, the High Court heard the case today and lifted the stay. The magistrate further stated that the Women’s Commission has full rights to investigate the issue. It further asked the Women’s Commission to take against Venu Swamy within a week.
