A 30-yr-old Thai national made friends with a guy on Instagram. She came to Chennai for him little knowing what her future would be.
The man took advantage of the woman, sexually abused her several times in a hotel room and absconded. As she did not have money to pay hotel rent, the woman got into prostitution.

She realised she didn’t have money to go back to her country. She got in touch with a guy who supplied Thai girls for prostitution. The man put her and another girl in a flat in Srinagar Colony and carried out prostitution.
On receiving a complaint, the police raided the place and took the girls into custody. The girl pleaded that she got into prostitution to earn money for her return ticket. The police sent her to a rehabilitation house.
