It is known that AP Congress chief YS Sharmila was put under house arrest on Wednesday morning. The police stopped her from going to Uddandarayunipalem. After a few hours, she came out and staged a dharna.
Sharmila was put under house arrest as she wanted to go to the site where PM Modi broke ground the first time for Amaravati. Later, speaking to the media, Sharmila vent out her frustration over the incidents of the day.

She said those who came to attack her as she left the house were from BJP as they came with stones and sticks in their hands. If a party chief does not have protection and is not safe, what about public issues, said Sharmila. Should I be scared to come out of the house or go some place, she questioned.
Sharmila said BJP must apologize to her and the alliance government must take responsibility for the act, she said.

Sharmila maintains she was leaving to her office in the morning when she was stopped forcibly.
