The complaint is that Marsh placed his feet on the World Cup after winning the game and thus, humiliated 140 crore Indians intentionally. Delhi police accepted the case and filed an FIR against Marsh.

In his complaint, Pandit mentioned that Marsh should be banned from ever playing cricket in India.

He even sent a copy of the complaint to Prime Minister Modi and Union Minister Anurag Thakur. Now that the FIR has been lodged by Delhi police, there could be some action against Marsh, if the Court deems fit.

As for the picture of Marsh with his feet on the World Cup trophy, it went viral after Australia won the cup on 19 November.
