There seems to be significant unrest surrounding the selection of the candidate for the Tirupati Assembly segment in the upcoming General Elections, particularly within the Janasena party.
The candidacy of Arani Srinivas has faced opposition from leaders within coalition parties, prompting a reconsideration by Janasena leadership.
In response to the opposition, names such as former MLA Sugunamma, gate college correspondent Tammineni Venkateshwarlu, and Ooka Vijayakumar have emerged as potential alternatives.
To address the situation, Janasena general secretary Nagababu has initiated discussions with Tirupati leaders.
The opposition to Arani Srinivasulu’s candidacy is rooted in his non-local status, with Janasena and TDP leaders expressing reservations about his suitability.
Even BJP leaders allied with the coalition are hesitant to support him, emphasizing the importance of selecting local candidates for better chances of success.
In light of these developments, Janasena leadership is contemplating a change in the candidate selection process.
It is reported that IVRS surveys will be conducted in the coming days to gauge public opinion and preferences among potential aspirants, indicating a willingness to address concerns and ensure a candidate who resonates with the local population.
