After Days in Bengaluru, Jagan’s Political Talk During Crisis

Jagan Mohan Reddy cyclone response news

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, who had been in Bengaluru’s Yelahanka Palace for the past few days, returned to Vijayawada today. His absence from Andhra Pradesh during the recent crisis drew sharp criticism.

The YSR Congress stated that Jagan could not travel on Tuesday because air services were suspended and that he would return once flights resumed. However, as services were not restored, he delayed his arrival a move that also invited criticism.

After reaching Vijayawada, Jagan Mohan Reddy held a video conference with party leaders. His address, streamed live on YouTube and television channels, focused largely on political points rather than the ongoing situation.

During his speech, he praised YSR Congress leaders and cadres for their relief efforts during the cyclone and urged them to continue their work. However, many on social media questioned his absence from the ground and accused him of indulging in politics instead of visiting affected areas.

Critics said Jagan should have met victims in person rather than limiting himself to an online meeting. Observers believe he may visit the affected areas later, once the situation stabilises.
