The labelling and character arc of any politician is decided by the common public. The likes of Rajasekhar Reddy and Chandrababu had tags like “Welfare Man” and “Visionary” respectively associated with them.
It is evident that Jagan is also trying hard for one such tag as he’s projecting himself as a “Manchodu” in Andhra Pradesh politics.
Even today, Jagan tried hard to build this good guy image as he repeatedly referred to himself as Manchodu.
“Only because of my good conduct and non violent nature are the people behind the murder of my grandfather Raja Reddy living peacefully to this day. If I really was a bad person or a violent person, would they have survived the day.” Jagan confidently said.
Jagan mentioned the very fact about the living existence of another individual associated with the Raja Reddy murder case validates his claims of being a good guy. Beyond that, he labelled Chandrababu as the real criminal for playing roles in the deaths of Raja Reddy, Vangaveeti Ranga, Sr NTR and many others.
Jagan was out on a mission of attacking Chandrababu at a personal level more than his tenacity to present the case of contemporary politics. This entire conference had a strong vibe of Jagan wanting to project a bad image for Chandrababu.
