Vizag, Kurnool Gone, Jagan Picks New Favorites!

No state in India faces a situation where a former CM and the current opposition leader himself is against the very development of the capital region. This scenario is observed in the case of Andhra Pradesh, thanks to YS Jagan.

Back when Jagan was the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, he quickly tracked back on Amaravati and did everything he could to destroy this prospect. The alternative plan to go for Vizag and Kurnool as the other capitals was a part of the elaborate plan.

But the public mandate in the very next election was so numbing that Jagan has left the proposal of Vizag and Kurnool. But this transition to a new phase is not rewarding either as Jagan is coming up with another set of proposals.

Today, while addressing YCP leaders, Jagan said there is no need to develop Amravati with an expenditure of 20 lakh crores and suggested CM Chandrababu to instead pick MaViGun, an amalgam of Guntur, Machilipatnam, Tenali and Vijayawada consequences. He says this stretch of 110 km is perfect for the capital.

When Jagan the glorious opportunity to cement his position in Andhra Pradesh politics by developing a solid capital, his impulsive choices favouring Vizag and Kurnool made AP a state without a capital.

Now finally after 12 years, Andhra Pradesh has finally declared its capital as Amaravati after a legislative process, Jagan wants a completely new set of capital cities. His plan of action is beyond comprehension for any politician, and even so for a seasoned pro like Naidu.

A critic sarcastically commentated that Jagan has already picked half a dozen favourites for capital cities, just out of the might against Amaravati. It would not be too much of a wonder if the number reaches a dozen sometime in the future.
