Raghu Rama Krishna Raju joined the YSR Congress just before the 2019 elections and won from the Narasapuram Parliament. RRR turned rebel and revolted against Jagan Mohan Reddy after that.
We have seen him as a bitter critic of the Jagan Government and he has been moving closer with TDP since then.
Raghu Rama will be the candidate for the Narasapuram Parliament in 2024. He will join TDP or Janasena depending on the party that will get the Narasapuram ticket as a part of seat-sharing.
Jagan has been scouting for the right candidate to take RRR who is popular and financially strong.
Buzz in West Godavari is that Jagan is keen on fielding Late Krishnam Raju’s wife, Shyamala Devi as the candidate against Raghu Rama.
Krishnam Raju belongs to the same community as RRR. He previously worked as Central Minister as a BJP MP and has a good rapport with the locals of the constituency.
Shyamala Devi will naturally get sympathy since Krishnam Raju passed away recently and there is a popularity of Prabhas to help.
Sources say that YSR Congress already contacted Shyamala Devi with this proposal. She is likely to seek the opinion the fans and well-wishers of Krishnam Raju and take a decision.
