Ram Gopal Varma is a sensational filmmaker (back then). He has some sensational films in the past but these days he is only into doing propaganda films for Chai Bisket Paisa.
He has been making Propaganda films for the YSR Congress since before the 2019 elections. Just before the elections, he planned two such films – Vyooham and Shapatham. Vyooham was released in theaters but could not even get a 1% audience.
Shapatham could not even be released in theaters and landed in AP Government’s Fibernet.
Forget about theatrical performances, both films did not even gain traction on OTT.
YSR Congress pinned all hopes on Yatra 2 by Mahi V Raghav who made Yatra earlier. But the movie also met with the same fate. It is a flop in theaters as well as the OTT.
In comparison, Vivekam by an unknown filmmaker has become a social media sensation.
The movie was dropped just before the election. The quality and casting are decent for an independent film.
The film was uploaded on YouTube without any restrictions and it had already got more than 60 Lakh Views.
The unofficial downloads on Telegram and other sites will be unimaginably high.
This unknown filmmaker became a big hit while seasoned filmmakers like Ram Gopal Varma and Mahi V Raghav.
No wonder the YSR Congress is so worried about the film and is complaining to the Election Commission.
