It looks like YSR Congress is desperate to cut down the momentum of TDP.
The Opposition party is looking rejuvenated with back-to-back successes of Mahanadu and Chandrababu Naidu’s Uttarandhra tour.
At this juncture, Jagan employed an old trick of his. This morning Municipal officials demolished the compound wall of Former Minister Ayyannapatrudu‘s house.
The allegation is that it has been built on encroached irrigation department land.
Ayyanna’s family says no notice has been served. They claim that a notice dated June 2nd was put in their hand forcibly minutes before the demolition.
Ayyanna’s wife claims that they have all the approvals in place for their house and there is no deviation whatsoever.
The demolition is planned on a Sunday to avoid any chance of going to court.
Ayyannapatrudu has been the most vocal leader of TDP in recent times. He is also giving a hard time to Rajya Sabha MP Vijaysai Reddy on Twitter.
Ayyanna’s son, Vijay is a close aide of Lokesh and is also leading TDP’s social media strategy. This has also added to the anger of those in power.
Probably this is an attempt to scare the TDP leaders into silence.
We will have to see if that works with elections fast approaching.
