YS Jagan Mohan Reddy defeated Nara Lokesh and Pawan Kalyan in the 2019 elections but failed against Nandamuri Balakrishna. He has taken all three elections prestigiously and ensured Lokesh and Pawan Kalyan do not enter the Assembly.
On the other side, Balakrishna won from Hindupur with an even better majority than in 2014.
This time, Jagan is trying to defeat the three using caste equations.
In Mangalagiri, the YSR Congress fielded Lavanya from the Weavers Community to take on Nara Lokesh.
In Hindupur, Balakrishna’s rival is Deepika who belongs to the BC community. Deepika is the wife of Venugopal Reddy, a Tier-2 leader of the Hindupur YSR Congress. Her parents belong to the Kuruba community and her husband belongs to the Reddy community.
In Pitapuram, Vanga Geetha who hails from the Kapu community will take on Pawan Kalyan.
Jagan Mohan Reddy completely relied on the caste combinations to defeat the three of them. To top it further, he gave the tickets to women, so there was also a women factor during the voting.
As of now, all three are comfortably placed to win from their seats.
We will see never before spending by YSR Congress in all three constituencies to defeat them at any cost.
