All the while, former CM Jagan Mohan Reddy had this habit of warning, the NDA leaders and the police officials on multiple matters. He had been repeatedly, threatening that there would be ultimate payback once he becomes the CM again.
But for a change, Jagan has gone on to warn his own YCP leaders this time around. He gave a big warning to YCP top leadership while speaking about the local body elections today.
Jagan Madhu, it very clear that YCP must contest every single Corporation, MPTC and also the ZPTC seat in the state. He said there is absolutely no exception in this regard.
“If I come to know that any district level or Assembly constituency level leader sales to have a YCP candidate contesting the local Corporation, they will not be given the MLA ticket in the next election. If any Assembly constituency level leader fails to field the candidate, they will face my wrath.” Jagan said today.
Jagan might have the intention of field YCP candidates in every possible consistency in order to make sure that the party does not lose the footing in the state. But Jagan himself had been missing from the action for the last couple of years, be it in public space or at the party functionary level.
So coming out all of a sudden and warning YCP leaders that they would not be given MLA and MP tickets in the next election might not be the best strategy to follow, comments an anguished neutralist who follows AP politics closely.
