Jagan Will Change Candidates In 100 Seats

YS Jagan

Unlike KCR in the Telangana elections, Jagan is taking a proactive approach to change or replace the in-charges for the upcoming Andhra Pradesh elections. The YSRCP is mindful of KCR’s perceived failure in the Telangana elections, attributed to not replacing candidates with dissenting opinions among the people.

In response, new in-charges for 11 constituencies were announced on Monday night. YS Jagan has been campaigning with the ambitious goal of winning all 175 seats in the state.

The decision to change the constituencies of MLAs, including three ministers, is based on the recommendations of the I-PAC survey. According to the survey, the party has not managed to secure victory in nearly 100 Assembly segments, prompting the leadership to consider changing candidates in at least 100 segments.

The survey report indicated that Sucharita would likely lose if she contested from Prattipadu this time. Consequently, she was reassigned to Tadikonda, previously represented by Undavalli Sridevi, who was suspended from the YSRCP. Initially, MLC Dokka Manikyavaraprasad was appointed for this constituency, but Sridevi expressed concern, leading to his removal and the appointment of Kathi Suresh.

The YSRCP leadership appears to be bracing for negative results in the general elections, especially in areas where opposition to the government is strong. In response, they have decided to sideline MLAs who may not be strong enough to face the senior leaders of the TDP.

The appointment of in-charges is reportedly being done arbitrarily, without consulting the concerned individuals. This approach has led to key leaders resigning from the party, not necessarily out of loyalty but in pursuit of perceived winning candidates. The internal dynamics of the party are undergoing significant shifts as the elections draw near.
