Union Minister Jairam Ramesh who is working in the direction of passing Telangana Bill at any cost seems to have shifted his stance. In his interview to Karan Thapar of CNN-IBN, he said Government should not hurry up with Telangana Bill and there should proper discussion and consultation before passing the bill. He made it clear that the bill should not be passed in hurry as there is a lot of hue and cry over the issue.
However, Jairam Ramesh categorically stated that it is his personal opinion and the home ministry and Parliamentary affairs Minister Kamalnath will decide the course of the bill in Parliament. It is not known what prompted the change in Jairam Ramesh who is in the Group of Ministers (GOM) who drafted the Telangana Bill.
