There are times when an individual’s personal goals and interests clash with those of the party. When such a situation arises, it is imperative for the party chief to let go of the individual. On Wednesday, the Jana Sena party ended the conversation regarding Bolisetty Satyanarayana’s role in the party.
Bolisetty had made it clear in February that his journey with Jana Sena has to end to avoid a clash of ideologies and to avoid embarrassment to party leader Pawan Kalyan through his acts.
Bolisetty Satyanarayana was the general secretary (environment) of Jana Sena party and the national convenor of Jal Biradari. The issue began with Bolisetty’s fight for environmental protection. For the past 5 years, he has been continuing the struggle to make Andhra Pradesh free of pollutants, especially in the north coastal region. The PIL filed by Bolisetty is against the Government of Andhra Pradesh and focuses on untreated sewage, pharmaceutical effluents and industrial pollution. The case is in trial phase. Bolisetty however maintained that he holds nothing against either JSP or Pawan Kalyan. He wrote to Pawan Kalyan in early February seeking to be relieved of his position from the party.
Though Bolisetty requested for temporary relief and promised to return to the party once he completes his legal obligations, Pawan Kalyan‘s Jana Sena office has released a formal letter saying that the party has nothing to do with Bolisetty and whatever he does in his personal capacity.
The letter has ended days of speculation for all the stakeholders in the matter, including politicians of TDP, Jana Sena and their respective cadre.
