JanaSena party has been gearing up for the election campaign in the Telugu states and more so in Telangana which is heading for polls in three weeks from now.
Now, JSP has been dealt with a breather of sorts as the Election Commission has given them clarity on the election symbol as they have allocated the glass tumbler symbol to the party.
The EC has given a new statement to the effect that JSP has been allotted the glass symbol and it shall be used by the party candidates, whoever got the B-form from JanaSena.
But at the same time, in constituencies where JanaSena is not contesting, the glass symbol will be a free symbol and can be picked by independent contestants.
Meaning, the glass symbol is no longer exclusive to JSP in elections in the Telugu states. But wherever the party is contesting, the candidates will be given the glass symbol.
