Chandrababu Naidu stated that the Polavaram Project was 72% completed under TDP’s rule, whereas only 3.84% of the work has been done under Jagan’s rule. He accused Jagan of misusing the Rs. 3,385 crore fund allocated for this project.
“In TDP’s rule, the Polavaram Project received many laurels. In YCP’s rule, it has faced criticism from IIT and PPA experts,” stated Naidu.

Naidu said that between 2014-2019, the TDP government spent Rs. 11,762 crores on this project, whereas Jagan spent only Rs. 4,167 crores from 2019-2024.
He emphasized that the Polavaram Project would be a lifeline for agriculture in the state. He pointed out that farmers lost around Rs. 45,000 crores due to the project’s delay.
Naidu cited that changing contractors and transferring competent officers led to the current sad state of Polavaram.
He alleged that Jagan’s mismanagement resulted in the damage to the diaphragm wall in the project. He pointed out that the TDP government completed the diaphragm wall in 2018 by spending Rs. 436 crores, whereas its repairs are now costing about Rs. 447 crores.
He mentioned that the new wall construction is costing around Rs. 990 crores.
Chandrababu Naidu asserted that with the help of national and international experts and the support of the central government, his administration would pacify the works of Polavaram.
