Jyothsna Tirunagari is the Telugu Desam Party’s National Spokesperson. She hails from Telangana and is an active speaker.
It’s been two decades since the Telugu Desam Party was out of power in Telangana. The party is facing an existence crisis as a result. There are very few leaders that are active in the party as a result.
Many moved towards green pastures while the few who remained lacked motivation to fight.
But Jyothsna is one leader who always tried to be vocal. As National Spokesperson, she put up a fight on the issues of Andhra Pradesh as well in the TV debates.
We have seen her doing a few on-ground protests as well in Telangana when Chandrababu Naidu got arrested.
Now that TDP is in power, it is important that her loyalty should be rewarded.
She should not be discriminated on the grounds that she is from Telangana because she was active on issues of Andhra Pradesh as well when TDP was in opposition.
We will see if she will be given some nominated post. Or else, she should be given a plum post in the party.
The party will thrive in AP or Telangana only when the loyalty is rewarded.
During 2014-19, Chandrababu Naidu nominated the then Telangana TDP MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah to TTD.
