Andhra Pradesh Congress is finalising the candidates for the upcoming General Elections in the state. Reportedly, the candidates list will be out on March 25.
Meanwhile, it is heard that APCC president YS Sharmila will contest from the Kadapa Lok Sabha constituency. We hear that the Congress high command asked Sharmila to be in contention in the Kadapa constituency.
Kadapa Lok Sabha seat has been a fortress for the YS family for a long time. Earlier, YS Rajashekar Reddy, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and YS Vivekananda Reddy represented the constituency in Lok Sabha.
Sharmila’s cousin YS Avinash Reddy is the current MP of Kadapa. She wants to bank on the anti-incumbency against Avinash this time.
The Congress Working Committee will hold a meeting tomorrow to finalise all MP candidates in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
