Kandukur: Mahidhar Reddy To Switch To TDP?

Maheedhar Reddy Manugunta

The absence of two YSRCP MLAs, Maddisetty Venugopal from Darshi and Mahidhar Reddy from Kandukur, from recent party programs has sparked speculation about their allegiance in the upcoming elections. Despite being incumbent MLAs, they were not given tickets by the YSRCP for the current election.

Reports suggest that while Mahidhar Reddy is expected to remain politically silent, there are indications that Maddisetty Venugopal may lend support, either directly or indirectly, to the TDP alliance candidate in Darshi.

Mahidhar Reddy’s actions have raised eyebrows, particularly his failure to campaign for the YSRCP candidate in Kandukur despite meeting with Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy and other party leaders. He reportedly indicated a wait-and-see approach to his followers, leading to speculation about his intentions.

Although Mahidhar Reddy met with the Chief Minister and other YSRCP leaders in Nellore, his absence from Jagan’s bus tour in Kandukur further fueled doubts about his commitment to supporting the party’s candidate in his constituency.

This absence has led many, including political analysts and Mahidhar Reddy’s own followers, to conclude that he is unlikely to support the YSRCP candidate in Kandukur. Despite earlier assurances from Jagan, his recent actions suggest a deviation from the party line, prompting speculation about his future course of action.
