There is an emergency kind of situation in the Power sector in Telangana. The state is struggling to meet the demands of domestic, agricultural and industrial usage. Already there are never before kind of power cuts for households and industries are having power holidays for 2 days a week. The count of farmers’ suicides have touched close to 300 after TRS came to power mainly due to crops getting dried up due to lack of power and rains. Earlier Center had hinted that KCR is not reaching out the center as much as they would like to solve the crisis.
Finally with all the doors closing down, Telangana Chief Minister decided to keep his ego side and seek centre’s intervention in solving the crisis. He is going to Delhi tonight and will meet few central ministers there. Officials have informed that seeking centre’s help in solving the power crisis of the state is the top most agenda of this visit. He is also expected to meet the Chief Justice of India and give him a representation about the division of high court.
