Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao is back in Hyderabad after a four-day tour to Delhi. The Chief Minister, a few days ago, announced going to Delhi to decide if the Central Government will be purchasing Paddy from Telangana or not.
There were media reports that KCR is trying for the appointments of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. But then, he returned to Telangana without meeting them. The Government sources, however, deny it. “He last asked for an appointment on September 1st and got the appointment on 3rd September. There hasn’t been a request since,” they say.
The Chief Minister has become a severe critic of the Central Government and the BJP after sensing the saffron party’s surge in Telangana. He openly announced a war against the BJP and even announced ex-gratia to the North Indian farmers who passed away fighting the three farm laws of the Central Government.
In this atmosphere of animosity, there is no reason not to believe that KCR was denied an appointment. After all that unconditional support to the Central Government on crucial bills in Rajya Sabha, KCR may be shocked with this treatment. The actual question now is what KCR will do as an act of revenge.
