The much hyped Intensive Household Survey of Telangana finally concluded peacefully despite several controversies and apprehensions. The Telangana government had almost completed the data entry of the enumerated data and it has to be seen how the government is going to use this data going further. In one of his recent meetings with Telangana higher officials, KCR reportedly revealed the actual reason which prompted him for the survey.
“As soon as I became the CM, I went to the planning commission with some proposals. The commission then pointed out to the abnormally high number of physically handicapped people present in Telangana. Yes, the figures are suspiciously high. In my preliminary inquiry, it is revealed that the figures are bogus. I felt ashamed and decided to weed out the bogus in the census available with the government and the result is the Intensive Household Survey”, KCR said to the officials revealing the actual reason behind the survey.
