Elections in Andhra Pradesh are drawing closer and the ruling party is activating everyone to work for them.
This time, there is very slender support for the YSR Congress from the Telugu film industry except for the likes of Ali and Posani who are enjoying nominated posts in the Jagan Government.
But Kona Venkat joined them since his relatives – Kona Raghupathi and Dronamraju Srinivas and business partner MVV Satyanarayana are in YSR Congress.
Kona who was mostly silent after the 2019 elections got activated again just before the elections. Only recently, he gave an interview to Sakshi doing Jagan Bhajana.
Now, his tweet has become a talking point.
“It’s Really a sensational achievement by the Govt of A.P !! Two prestigious Institutes of our Country. I.I.T in Tirupathi & I.I.M in Visakhapatnam. Both were inaugurated yesterday. Thank you @narendramodi ji & Congratulations to our C.M @ysjagan,” Kona tweeted.
The other day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually dedicated to the nation the permanent campuses of IIT – Tirupati and IIM – Vishakapatnam to the nation. Kona Venkat tried to give the credit to Jagan Mohan Reddy even though he is not even remotely connected.
These premiere educational institutions were promised to Andhra Pradesh in the Reorganization Act. Congress put them in the Act and the BJP-led Central Government that came to power constructed them. The previous Chandrababu Naidu Government gave the land and necessary infra.
These are small perks for Andhra Pradesh for massive bifurcation losses. No party should get the credit. Even if someone wants to give, it should go to Congress, BJP or the TDP. YSR Congress is not even remotely connected.
The construction funds were completely of the Central Government. In the entire process, YSR Congress is not at all involved but Kona gives the credit to Jagan.
“If left like this, we may even see him crediting Jagan for the construction of the Taj Mahal in Agra and Pyramids in Egypt,” people on social media are mocking.
