Konda Murali, husband of Konda Surekha has become a headache for Telangana Congress with his remarks.
He has already antagonised the members of his party Congress. For the unversed, Murali was MLC for two terms. He stirred the Hornet’s nest by saying those having Errabelli surname were erra ballulu or white lizards.

That included one leader from the Congress, one from the BJP and another from the BRS.
Not stopping there, Konda Murali said he spent Rs 70 crore to win during 2023 Assembly elections. He boasted he had 500 acres and that he sold 16 acres from it for elections. He said he needed money from no one.

The money was spent for Konda Surekha to win from Warangal East constituency, he said.
Naturally, his undiplomatic talk has led to anger among Congress leaders and rival party leaders. In the process of teaching Konda Murali a lesson, his wife and Minister of Environment & Forests Konda Surekha has now come under the radar of both BJP and BRS.

The BRS leaders met the Election Commission on Wednesday and submitted a request asking to disqualify Konda Surekha. They said that spending such huge amounts of money for winning elections was violating the Election Commission guidelines.
As there are proofs that huge sums of money were spent, Konda Surekha must be disqualified, the BRS leaders demanded.
On the other hand, her daughter Konda Susmita has unilaterally declared that she wants to be MLA of Parkala.
Looks like the antics of Konda family will prove costly for Minister Konda Surekha. There has been talk of her being ousted from Telangana Cabinet for some time now.
But her family appears to be working towards turning the rumour into reality!
