People Voted Against Local MLAs, KCR Lost As CM

KTR explains KCR’s CM loss

BRS working president KTR has explained why KCR lost his position as Chief Minister in the 2023 elections. He said voters were dissatisfied with their local MLAs and chose to vote against them, assuming KCR would still remain CM. This collective mindset, according to KTR, cost KCR the top post.

KTR remarked that Telangana was handed over to successors on a golden platter, but they failed to manage it properly. He criticised the BJP, saying the party only relied on invoking God to win votes. He pointed out that the Karimnagar BJP MP secured victory by using this strategy.

He also noted that while Congress did not inspire trust in Hyderabad, people in villages were swayed by its promises. On Wednesday, Karimnagar doctor couple Rohit Reddy and Gautami Reddy joined BRS. KTR welcomed them, saying voters in the region were misled by the BJP’s religious appeal.

In a sharp comment, KTR said even Lord Rama did not favour BJP, as the party lost in Ayodhya, yet Karimnagar chose to vote for it. Speaking at Telangana Bhavan, he also attacked Modi, criticising the government for high GST rates, false promises, and unfulfilled commitments such as the Rs 15 lakh crore assurance.
