A major update has come in the Formula e-Racing case. The ACB is said to have prepared chargesheets against the accused and is waiting for government approval.
A 100-page chargesheet has been drafted. A request for the prosecution of KTR was sent to the government on September 9. The letter was forwarded to the Governor. But so far, neither the Governor nor the government has approved it.
The ACB is ready to act as soon as it receives orders. The Rs 44 crore electoral bonds BRS got from Greenko, misappropriation of HMDA funds, and Rs 600 crore allocated for Formula e-Racing have all been included in the chargesheet. Sources say 1000 supporting documents are attached.
The chargesheet also covers GOs issued by the BRS government, agreements with Britain’s e Operations, Hyderabad’s Greenko-linked Ace Next Gen, municipal administration, urban development, and HMDA fund transfers.
A three-party agreement was made on October 25, 2022, between Britain’s FEO, Ace Next Gen Limited, and MAUD for Seasons 9, 10, 11, and 12. Ace Next Gen held Season 9 in February 2023. HMDA spent Rs 12 crore on the track. After facing a Rs 165 crore loss, Ace Next Gen withdrew from future Seasons.
Following this, the BRS government signed another agreement between FEO and MAUD in October 2023, agreeing to spend Rs 600 crore. The ACB has found that BRS received Rs 44 crore in electoral bonds. This is now seen as a crucial point for action.
