In recent years, cases of sexual assault on men and boys have started to surface, breaking the earlier notion that only women and girls are targeted. One such horrific crime took place in LB Nagar, Hyderabad.
A man identified as Muralikrishna (45) was brutally murdered by Mohammad Junaid, Sheikh Saifuddin, Manikantha, and a 16-year-old minor. Police said Muralikrishna had asked the group for a lift after midnight, and they agreed. All four were drunk, and so was Muralikrishna.
During the journey, an argument broke out. The group allegedly burned Muralikrishna with cigarette butts and beat him for nearly two hours. They later took him to a deserted area near Nacharam Industrial Area, where they stabbed him to death.
The investigation revealed a shocking detail the accused had sexually assaulted Muralikrishna before killing him. Police also confirmed that Mohammad Junaid had a POCSO case filed against him just five months ago.
