IT Minister Lokesh is in New Delhi as part of his tour and attended the India Today Conclave South. During a conversation with senior journalist Rajdeep Sardesai, he made some striking comments that caught attention in political circles.
When Rajdeep asked if Chandrababu Naidu had an eye on the Prime Minister’s post, Lokesh replied firmly that both eyes of Chandrababu were on Andhra Pradesh. He dismissed rumours of Chandrababu aspiring for Delhi politics, making it clear his focus is only on the state.
Lokesh said Chandrababu is determined to make Andhra Pradesh the number one state in the country. He added that they are gully leaders, not Delhi leaders, and are satisfied working in gully politics without looking for a bigger stage.
Asked about their continued support to the BJP despite a different stand in 2019, Lokesh admitted that humans make mistakes. He stressed his belief in strong leadership and said one leader can change everything if the timing is right.
Lokesh praised Prime Minister Modi as the right leader India needed at the right moment. He assured that their support for Modi will remain unconditional and continue even beyond 2029, reflecting the TDP’s political stand.
