In Hyderabad, a remarkable demolition operation took place at the famous Raheja Mindspace complex. The B7 and B8 structures, 18 years old, were swiftly and successfully demolished on September 23, setting the stage for a renewed phase of the Mindspace development project.
This marked a historic first for Hyderabad, as the buildings were brought down in an astonishing 6-8 seconds, a feat that typically takes 3-4 months in traditional demolitions.
The removal of these aging buildings paves the way for the construction of expansive new structures. The first of these, with a substantial footprint of 1.3 million square feet, promises to reshape the landscape significantly. The second site, measuring 1.6 million square feet, will soon host another colossal structure.
Edifice Engineering and Jet Demolition successfully executed this demolition project. Mindspace Business Parks REIT has indicated that the new construction is expected to be completed within the fiscal year 2026/2027.
This demolition exemplifies the heralding of a new era of development in the Madhapur area.
