The political scene in Jubilee Hills is heating up as the by-election draws closer. A fresh twist has emerged, adding an element of family dispute to the contest involving BRS candidate Maganti Sunitha.
New allegations have surfaced against Maganti Sunitha. Late Maganti Gopinath’s son from his first wife has objected to Sunitha contesting as his father’s successor. Tarak Pradyumna claimed that Gopinath never divorced his first wife, Malinidevi, and questioned Sunitha’s legal status as his wife.
Pradyumna said his father had a live-in relationship with Sunitha and asserted that he is Gopinath’s legal heir. He demanded that his mother should receive the party ticket instead. He also alleged that Sunitha and her followers threatened them not to contest.
With the nomination deadline ending on Wednesday, these allegations have created a buzz in political circles. All eyes are now on Maganti Sunitha to see how she responds to the charges made by Tarak Pradyumna.
