For a really long time now, there have been several complaints from certain political parties about the functioning of the EVMs in the country. Every time there is an election, the losing party ends up blaming the EC for EVM scam.
A similar scenario has unfolded in West Bengal now, and this has resulted in the chief minister Mamta Banerjee herself taking to the streets.
This originally started last night when the Trinamool Congress party shared videos of alleged mismanagement of the EVMs in the state.
The party argued that certain external individuals got involved with the EVM management by handling the devices illegally. They shared a couple of videos of some unidentified individuals allegedly opening and operating the EVMs.
Shortly after this video went viral, Chief minister, Mamta Banerjee herself arrived at a strong room in West Bengal at around 3 in the morning and stood there ever since. She alleged that the BJP has colluded with the election commission to rig the election in Bengal.
Generally, such arguments are made by the losing party after the election, but we are witnessing something like this happening, even before the election from Trinamool Congress.
Meanwhile, the local BJP leaders are commenting that Mamata Banerjee appears to have understood that her party is anyway going to lose the election, and that is the reason why she is creating a scene already.
But if at all Trinamool Congress ends up losing the election, Mamta Banerjee is likely to make an iron fist and take everyone to the cleaners, considering her agitative nature.
