Media Groups were abuzz with the reports of Sakshi TV started layoffs. The rumors say the new management issued termination letters to about 50 employees.
Sources say that they were given 45 days notice period.

Immediately after the election season, the CEO of the Channel who previously worked with National Media resigned. While there are rumors that the management made him resign due to the failure of Sakshi to assist the YSR Congress in the elections, the company sources were saying it was a routine affair.
A new CEO was not appointed but someone inside (a lady) has become the incharge of the Operations.

So, the employees and the media circles were expecting layoffs.
Company sources once again say that those laid-off are only those appointed just before the elections and they are mainly of the Graphics Department. But the

But then, rumors are rife about mass layoffs.
During the last five years, many senior staff at Sakshi Newspaper and Channel were shifted to the Government Payroll so that there is no burden on the company.
Now, the company will face this burden and importantly there will be no support from the Government in the next five years.
So to ease the burden, the layoffs may become imminent.
