Minister Roja as Ongole MP candidate?

Minister Roja

There is a possibility that Third Krishna might enter from YSRCP to contest in Ongole Parliament drama. After denying a ticket to Magunta, Chevireddy has come into the picture. Now, the name of Roja is being considered for the Ongole MP seat by the ruling YSRCP.

Vijayasai Reddy, the leader of the party, has informed the leaders of Prakasam district about this decision. Notably, Adhisthanam proposed Roja’s name in the context of YSRCP leaders initiating discussions with Ongole MP Magunta Srinivasulareddy, rather than CM Jagan.

It is known that Jagan has decided not to give a ticket to MP Magunta if he does not agree to certain conditions. Even after that, former minister Balineni made unsuccessful attempts to secure a ticket for Magunta. Subsequently, the administration proposed the name of Chandragiri MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy for the position of Ongole MP.

However, all the leaders of the district, including Balineni, opposed Chevireddy’s candidature. Balineni questioned Vijay Sai and Sajjala about how both father and son could receive YSRCP tickets while advocating for Chevireddy. Jagan assigned the Chandragiri ticket to Chevireddy’s son.

Meanwhile, Balineni and Darshi in-charge Buchepalli Sivaprasad Reddy met with Magunta again in Ongole on Friday. Leaders who are planning to contest from the assemblies within the Lok Sabha were supposed to meet with the CM. They believed that the matter of giving a ticket to MP Magunta should be discussed with him.

However, a conflict arose regarding who should lead the team. In this context, it is learned that Vijayasai Reddy spoke to Balineni, Minister Suresh, and two or three other leaders on Saturday. Roja’s name is under consideration as the Ongole MP candidate, and Sai Reddy has reportedly mentioned that the decision may be finalized on Monday or Tuesday, with an official announcement to follow.
