Generally, whenever a political party loses the election in India, they immediately blame the EVM and project some kind of a scam with regard to counting process.
But for a change, the outgoing chief minister of Tamil Nadu, MK Stalin has made an interesting observation as he blamed social media rather than the EVM setup.
Stalin confidently said Vijay became the chief minister of Tamil Nadu by influencing young people through Instagram campaigns. He blamed social media narratives for the Tamil Nadu Assembly outcome and was fairly certain about the same as well.
While several of his contemporaries including YS Jagan are still carrying the narratives against EVMs to this day, Stalin appears to have understood the ground level impact like no other. He even said Vijay’s TVK influenced young people through insta and made their families vote for TVK.
He was on point with his analysis about Instagram impact. In fact, Instagram had been operating as the primary platform to carry political narratives for many years. Every wrongdoing of the incumbent government and the pointless act of the CM are highlighted here.
This medium quickly turned into a political battlefield and it was TVK which came on the top in Tamil Nadu. So, there’s a measure to the analysis presented by Stalin and he was fairly straightforward with the same.
